Angela Patton is the founder of Camp Diva Leadership Academy and CEO of Girls For A Change, a nonprofit dedicated to preparing Black girls for the world—and the world for Black girls. Based in Richmond, Virginia, Angela has spent over 25 years driving systemic and cultural change across the country.

A recognized Champion of Change, Angela has received numerous awards for her fearless advocacy and visionary leadership. Her widely viewed TED Talk has inspired more than a million people, and her co-authored book, Finding Her Voice, has helped thousands of Black girls break barriers, lead confidently, and thrive in diverse settings.

Angela is the Executive Producer and Co-Director of the critically acclaimed documentary Daughters, which premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, winning both the Festival Favorite and Audience Award: U.S. Documentary. Now streaming on Netflix, Daughters is a 2025 Peabody Award winner and an Emmy nominee in two News and Documentary categories, celebrated for its significant social impact.

A sought-after speaker, seasoned activist, and lifelong advocate for Black girls and women, Angela continues to champion equity, elevate marginalized voices, and lead movements that foster lasting change in communities nationwide.
