Caylon La Mantia
Caylon La Mantia is a first-time director with a background in art, activism, and adventure. Her filmmaking journey began whilst studying BA Marine and Natural History Photography at Falmouth University, where she learnt to dive and operate underwater cameras. Her passion and motivation for filmmaking is in telling compelling, character driven stories focusing on eco positivity and hope. She has also worked with director Anna Roberts on BBC series “The Audacious” as second camera op and graphic designer, creating the series graphics and animations. On receiving the Consano Earth Film Fund Award, Caylon set about creating KELP! with a young crew of emerging filmmakers.
