ABROGATION
Franklin Livingstone

Abrogation is a love story. It deals with many subjects, including self-love, fighting one’s own demons, restoration, and self-healing before uniting with one’s true love. The overarching theme of the movie depicts issues of race and gender and how, in the context of modern-day American politics and religion, one’s racial and gender identity fuels communal racism, ethnocentrism, and marginalization of women and people of color.
“SERAPHIM: The Motion Picture”
Marck Angel

“SERAPHIM: The Motion Picture” is an experimental, musical-drama centered around “Black Queer romantic love” but its messages speak to something much larger & permeating… “human love”. We wanted to craft a film that, no matter a viewers color, sexuality, gender or nationality, would impact people from a human perspective – and raise awareness that everyone is impacted by love, as well as life. Bridging those pillars through music, dance, poetry & parable, we believe we’ve created a unique piece of art, not in a conceited manner, but in a quite literal, humble one… an urban Black Queer musical is simply an anomaly in contemporary film, and with this challenge, we set out to create a piece that we hope you’ll find refreshing, provocative, empowering and inspiring.
